Workers pick cranberries in the Fenwick Bog
Whitesbog Village can viewed in the background.
Cranberry pickers in bog. Three-fourths of these workers are children. Most of the pickers are Italian families from So. Philadelphia. The head of the family is the only one who gets paid. Burlington County, New Jersey

The wagon on the left transports workers and the one on the right cranberry boxes that when full will be stored in the Cranberry Packing House. The tank on the second wagon probably carried drinking water for the workers. Click below on Packing House38 to see the building.
